Dympna went along to the latest exhibition at the National Gallery. Taking Stock 2000 – 2010, brings together over 100 paintings, prints and drawings reflecting the growth in different areas of the gallery’s collection One of the gallery’s curators Adrian le Harivel took Dympna round the exhibition. On view in the Beit Wing and the Print Gallery until 25 July 2010, the exhibition is the first major show dedicated to acquisitions since 1988.

Sadhbh spoke with young Dublin musician, Patrick Kelleher, about his critically aclaimed debut album in 2009, You Look Cold. He spoke of his musical influences, the enjoyment of making this album, albeit economically, and how one can make music from the oddest of objects! We played a few tracks on the show and I am sure the listeners would agree he has a very creative and fresh sound. His album is out through Dublin label Osaka Records. Check him out and see when he is playing next month in Dublin on www.myspace.com/patrickkelleher
